I’m Arthur Rasco.
I am an independent producer and director based in Atlanta, Georgia. I oversee my own production company called Journey Light Creative, where we work with dozens of ministries and nonprofits all over the world. I have a slate of feature films and series projects I am also developing for production and distribution.
My work is known for strong storytelling and emotional impact. I love bringing my passion and energy to the table on any project. I have covered relief efforts in Israel, Ukraine, Turkey, Bangladesh and dozens of other places, filming out of helicopters, planes, and boats.
For more than 11 years, I was on staff with Samaritan’s Purse International Relief where I oversaw countless projects from 30 second PSAs to feature films. In 2017, I produced and directed Facing Darkness, a feature-length documentary about the Ebola epidemic of West Africa. Facing Darkness was released theatrically across the nation in more than 800 theaters, and is now available on Amazon. I have also produced two long-form documentaries for Voice of America featuring renowned journalist Greta Van Susteren. In 2008 and 2009, I produced a seven-part reality series about the Children’s Heart Project and since 2001, I have produced in more than 35 countries on 6 continents.
My travels and love for people have and continue to shape my life. In 2011, my wife and brought home our adopted son from Moscow, Russia. Ever the constant filmmaker, I documented our experiences so others could learn from our journey. That’s what Bringing Home Joshua is all about.
In 2010, I covered the Cholera epidemic in Haiti. Those few days also had a significant impact on my life. Within a year, I was enrolled in an Emergency Medical Technician course and received my state certification in 2012. I served with my local volunteer fire department as a medical first responder for more than 5 years.
I hope that I have the opportunity to serve you on an upcoming project soon.
